About Us

Dan C. Christianson did not set out to write a traditional teaching book. He wanted a space where Scripture could be pondered slowly, without pressure to reach easy answers. Over time, the voice of Jonah emerged, a man who listens longer than is comfortable and writes more than he speaks. This character became the quiet guide through the book, shaped by years of reading, conversation, and solitude.

The book grew from a simple conviction that faith is not weakened by honest wrestling. Dan shows this through reflections on Christmas, the story of Jonah, fishing on the wrong side of the boat, the silence around Job, and the weight of the cross and resurrection. Each section invites readers to pause where the Bible itself does not rush. Questions remain open in places because some things in Scripture ask to be carried rather than solved.

At its heart, Dan’s work reflects a deep respect for the patience of God. He writes for those who have learned that faith grows best when it is not forced, for people willing to read carefully and live with unanswered questions. The cabin setting, the slow hikes, and the unpolished thoughts all point back to the same idea: sometimes the real work begins in the lingering.
